Technical pay of $1,000.00 per year for officers trained in the following disciplines ($2,000.00 maximum):​

Clothing Allowance

Beginning at the completion of the 1st year of employment, officers receive a clothing allowance of $1,000.00 per year paid in two installments. Officers assigned a Body Worn Camera will receive an additional $300.00 per year.

Shift Differential

Shift Differential is paid to officers working the middle and late shift after completing Field Training and receiving permanent shift assignment.

Shift Assignments

Shift assignments are decided following a bidding process that occurs during November and December of each year and is based upon seniority.

Take Home Cars

Upon completion of the FTO Training, you will be assigned your take home car. Take home cars are permitted for use statewide.

Residency

Residency in a county that is noncontiguous to the county in which the city is located but is not more than fifty (50) miles from the closest boundary of the city where the police department is located. View Map

Insurance

Officers have the option to elect a plan of health, vision, and dental insurance at a modest cost per year.

Longevity pay: Officers will receive .45% of base salary of 1st class patrol officer per year years 4 through 20.  Years 21 through 32 will increase $100.00 per year.
